When sending a dental prosthesis to us, it’s important to obtain a return label issued by the carrier.
At Jeff P. Dental, we generally work with DHL. The easiest way is to contact us via WhatsApp at: +1 505 990 3549
Please include the following information in your message:
- Doctor’s name
- Patient’s name
- Full clinic address

You will receive a PDF file via WhatsApp. Usually on page 3, you will find the key element: the AWB number (DHL tracking number).
Simply call the DHL UK pickup service at: +44 (0) 344 248 0844 and provide your AWB number to schedule collection.
Smooth Import – Get your EORI number
When working with our laboratory based outside the European Union, an EORI number (Economic Operator Registration and Identification) is mandatory.
This number is required for all imports of custom medical devices, such as dental prosthetics.
What is an EORI number?
The EORI number is a unique customs identifier required for all import/export operations with non-EU countries.
Check if you already have an EORI
You can verify its validity on the official European Commission website:
EORI Validation – European Commission
How to obtain your EORI number in the UK?
Two options are available:
Online (free)
- Visit www.gov.uk/eori
- Sign in with your Government Gateway account
- Complete the EORI application form
- Provide your company registration number (CRN) or VAT number if applicable
- You should receive your EORI number within a few hours
By phone (recommended)
- Call the HMRC helpline at +44 (0) 300 322 9434
- They will assist you in checking or obtaining your EORI number over the phone
No tax or customs fees
Good news:
- Custom-made dental prosthetics are VAT exempt in the UK
- There are no import duties or VAT charged on these items
- Getting an EORI number does not create any additional tax or accounting obligations
It is simply an administrative identifier that allows UK customs to process your prosthetics without delays.
